Why I Created Theodeals
Logos Bible Software offers many excellent sales, bundles, and discounts throughout the year. With so many good deals running, it can be hard to decide what to buy first — or the fear of a better price tomorrow can keep you from making a valuable purchase today.
Theodeals gives you the data to buy with confidence. Tracked price history, Dynamic Price Strength, coupons, and bundle tools help you see when a deal is genuinely strong — and when waiting might truly pay off. The aim is to help you grow your Logos library while stewarding the money entrusted to you wisely.
Who is behind Theodeals?
My name is Ruben Ohlig. I studied theology and care deeply about the Bible, biblical languages, and careful study. I am especially interested in Hebrew. For my own study I love using Logos — though when I mention it, the first reaction I hear is often about the cost. That's what ultimately led to Theodeals. Finding strong deals matters, not just for the sake of bargain hunting, but because great resources within a realistic budget let more people dig deeper into the Bible.
I spent three months at the Jerusalem Center for Bible Translators (JCBT), learning alongside Bible translation consultants. I also write at Bibeltagebuch, my German Bible journal.
Why Logos prices need more context
Logos has frequent sales, dynamic pricing, bundles, base packages, subscriptions, coupons, Pre-Pubs, and regional stores that each offer slightly different products. This creates many opportunities for great deals and can be fun for deal hunters, but with so many good offers running at once, it can get overwhelming and sometimes hard to pick out the truly outstanding deals.
A resource may be cheap today, but still not historically special. A bundle may look expensive, but include several resources you were going to buy anyway. A coupon may change the real checkout price. A collection may be better bought after another smaller purchase. Theodeals exists to bring these details into one place.

FAQ
How Theodeals uses price data
Theodeals tracks current prices, historical prices from the tracked period, product relationships, collection data, voucher information, and regional availability where possible. Price history becomes more useful over time as more products are tracked for longer.
What Dynamic Price Strength means
Dynamic Price Strength, or DPS, compares the current price with the strongest available value basis, such as Logos Collection Value, calculated included-resource value, or normal price. It is especially useful for collections and bundles, where a normal percentage discount can be misleading.
Where Theodeals still has limits
Some prices are account-specific because Logos dynamic pricing depends on what you already own. Product relationships can be incomplete. Coupons can change. AI-supported profiles can be helpful, but they can also be wrong. Theodeals is a decision aid, not a guarantee.
Is Theodeals official Logos Bible Software?
No. Theodeals is an independent Logos Bible Software price tracker and is not affiliated with Logos.
Does Theodeals know my personal Logos ownership?
No. Theodeals does not access your Logos account or personal ownership data. Logos dynamic pricing can therefore differ from what Theodeals can estimate. But because Logos usually applies the same discount percentage to dynamically adjusted prices as it does to normal prices, Theodeals can still help you judge whether the current deal is strong for you, even if the exact shown price is not identical.
Why can the price I see at Logos differ from Theodeals?
Prices can differ because of account-specific ownership, regional availability, subscription discounts, coupons, taxes, temporary changes, or data that has not refreshed yet.
What is DPS?
DPS means Dynamic Price Strength. It is Theodeals' value signal for the current deal. A higher DPS usually means the current price is stronger compared with the value basis Theodeals can measure, especially for collections and bundles.
What is Logos Collection Value?
Logos Collection Value is a value figure Logos provides for some collections. Theodeals can also calculate included-resource value when enough relationship data is available. The DPS trust symbol shows whether the value basis comes from Logos Collection Value, calculated included resources, partial data, or a more complete included-resource set.
How does Theodeals decide whether a deal is good or best?
Deal badges are calculated from tracked data. BEST PRICE means the current price is at, or within about four cents of, the lowest tracked price since tracking began. 12-MONTH BEST means it is at, or within about four cents of, the best tracked price in the last twelve months. GOOD PRICE means the current price is a strong recent low, or it is within about 5% of the all-time tracked low while also being at least about 5% below the tracked average price. Free products with a normal price or value basis are treated as 100% off. Pre-Pub and Gathering Interest products use separate status badges.
Can I use Theodeals to decide what to buy?
Theodeals is best used to decide when a resource, bundle, or collection looks financially strong. For deciding what belongs in your library, combine it with trusted reviews, your study goals, and your theological or academic needs.
Can AI summaries be wrong?
Yes. AI-supported profiles, Deal Radar signals, and AI Chat answers are meant for orientation. They can save time, but they should not replace careful judgment for important purchases.

How affiliate links work on Theodeals
Some links on Theodeals are affiliate links. If you buy through one of those links, Theodeals may receive a commission at no extra cost to you. This helps support the work of tracking prices, maintaining the site, and building new tools.
Do affiliate links change recommendations?
No. The whole idea behind Theodeals is to make Logos buying decisions more transparent and clearer for every user. Recommendations and deal labels are based on tracked prices, price history, Dynamic Price Strength, vouchers, and value evaluations. I would never alter tracking data or value calculations to give a false impression about a deal.
What are shared creator affiliate links?
Other Logos affiliate partners can share Theodeals links with their own affiliate information embedded. I added this option so that creators who use price history to find and share the best deals can give links that prove their claims, without having to fear losing the commission for their work. This only affects affiliate links — the page content is exactly the same as without the external affiliate information. Someone sharing their link has no effect on what is shown on the page, only on the affiliate link used by the page.
Theodeals is an independent tool and is not affiliated with Logos Bible Software. Some links are affiliate links, which means Theodeals may earn a commission if you buy through them, at no additional cost to you.
